RB2011uIAS-RM configuring two networks with there own gateway

Mon Feb 22, 2016 2:20 pm

Hi Guys,

im pretty new to MikroTik and RouterOS.
Im overwhelmed by the possibilities you get with this Product.

Im trying to create two networks on the RB2011UiAS-RM which are isolated and
having there own Gateway.
The Setup should look like this.

Port 1 Gateway - Subnet 1 (NAT)
Port 2 Gateway - Subnet 1 (NAT)
Port 3 - 4 Uplinks - Subnet 1 (DHCP)

Port 5 Gateway - Subnet 2 (NAT)
Port 6-10 Uplinks - Subnet 2 (DHCP)

As described above the Router should not route between the Subnets (i would just delete the Routing Rules or do a Blackhole)
But im having problems getting this setup running.

Any opinions?

Thanks in advance.

The RB2011UiAS should be able to utilize firewall rules to deny traffic between the different networks/subnets. That is the only way to prevent the communication as the device is a router and by its nature is designed to "connect" different networks.

What are you having an issue with? If you can post more details as to your configuration we can help more.

For public IPs use: x.x.x.lastOctect (i.e. x.x.x.241). For private addresses, you can type those out fully. Use the CLI "print" command to show configurations of your device specific to what you are having issues with.
