Setting other router in pseudo-bridge with DMZ

Fri Feb 26, 2016 8:45 pm

Hello,

I want to set up Huawei lte router from ISP and plug it in to ether1 of
RB2011UiAS-RM. Then set my routerbox as dmz in Huawei and configure ether1 as gateway.

Want to accomplist it to manage my network with routerbox instead of Huawei, and treat it as some kind of simple bridge device.

Can it be done? After first tries I managed to create two networks: bridge-gateway (ether1) and bridge-local (ether2 - ether9), but couldn not find a way to make them communicate each other. Could ping Huawei from bridge-gateway, and rest of my network on bridge-local.

Can anybody help me with this kind of setup?

Remove bridge-gateway becouse you don`t need more than one port for wan. Then set up a rulle for nat :
ip firewall nat add action=masquerade chain=srcnat src-address=lan_subnet/24
This is the very basic to get started Asuming that you have a dhcp-server working proprely on bridge-lan and a dhcp-client on ether1

@kiaunel

Thanks to your advice I added nat and figured out I unnecessarily tried to be smarter than I should be (tried to configure everything manual instead of setting up dhcp server on Huawei and client on ether1). Seems to work as intended now. Thank You.
