dhcpv6 server oddity

Tue May 10, 2016 6:37 pm

Hi, first post here, please be gentle :)

I've set up the ipv6 dhcp server to hand out prefix delegations and think I may have hit a bug;

When a client renews its lease (at 50% the way through its configured lease time), the "Expire time" timer does not get reset. Instead, it continues counting down to zero, and removes the client's binding and ipv6 route.

The expected behaviour would be that the Expire timer should reset back to the full Lease time on client renewal, and this is exactly what I see with the ipv4 dhcp server.

I'm currently running 6.35.2 but have also tried the latest release candidate with no success - both versions allow the lease to expire despite the client renewing.

Is anyone else here using dhcp6-pd server and have you seen the same symptoms?

Cheers...

I reported this to Mikrotik and they have fixed it in the latest beta - thanks MTK :D
