Some VLAN Explanation

Fri Oct 28, 2016 10:59 am

Hi all,
I want to ask some questions about VLAN. I need to separate two differend vlan that run on one ethernet cable.
I have some antennas that transfer the packet from WLAN VIP with VLANID 100 and the WLAN GUEST on VLANID 200.

So i want to separate this traffic, redirecting VLAN 100 on a router, and VLAN 200 on a separate router.
But i don't understand something.

For do this i need to join the ports of AP in the two VLANS (100 and 200) in TAGGED port mode?
And the output for the routers as respectively 100 and 200 as untagged member?

I can create a VLAN Trunk on the main switch backbone, for trasport all vlan between different switch, using the main cable (SFP port)?
For create a trunk, i need to set the SFP port as TAGGED member of all vlan i need to transport?

Thanks a lot for all answers and sorry for my bad english :S

Between ap and switch1, seems there's a trunk so packets need to be tagged.
Same thing between switch one and two.
For the port 3&4, you need to untag the packets.
All the switches need to know all the vlan and you need to tag all the vlan in all the trunks.
Trunk can be rj port or SFP port.
Sorry for my bad English too lol
