Groove A-52HPn with IP 0.0.0.0

Fri Feb 17, 2017 9:18 am

My situation. I have a mikrotik / AP setup. I was playing with some settings and now I think I might need to Reset Groove A-52HPn to default. Problem is they are mounted where I cannot physically reach to press the reset button. I have tried everything possible to try and access the Access points. Including plugging directly to my laptop, trying Telnet/MacTelnet even clicking the MAC on winbox gets me nowhere. Please help. I have included a screen-shot of my winbox and the 0.0.0.0 AP IP. I can winbox fine into the 'whitehouse1'. I have searched the forum for a similar problem even google won't help :-(

Thank you

Hi,

Just an idea:
1. try with Winbox 3.10;
2. if winbox 3.10 still does not work i have a suggestion: connect via winbox on WHITE HOUSE 1 ( 192.168.88.2 ); from it go to ip -> neighbors. If you have interfaces enabled on "discovery interfaces" tab ( on 192.168.88.2 device ) into the NEIGHBOR LIST window under "Neighbors" tab you should see WHITE HOUSE 3 listed. Click right on it and then select MAC TELNET. Does it connect to it ?

Hope it helps

kind regards,

Do the devices with zero ip have the ip within the same subnet? Do they have any firewall rules on the connected interfaces?
