Software for designing network diagrams

Fri Jun 02, 2017 1:01 am

Hi guys,
I was just wondering what software or web app do you use for designing network diagrams, like for example when asking questions here on the forums? I saw some awesome diagrams and I know there are many out there but just wondering what you guys use.

Thanks

I typically use Visio for work.

Visio is the industry standard but if you don't want to buy it you can use draw.io and import Cisco logos for free.

Product brochures and MS Paint work a treat.

I have used Dia a few years ago. Seemed to work reasonably well. It's open source and comes with a number of generic network/router/switch images.
