Purely Internal UPnP across two networks possible?

Sun Jul 02, 2017 2:11 pm

I am struggling to set up my UPnP in a way that is purely internal.
The idea: I have two networks 192.168.4.0/24 in which a UPnP server is located. Every device in this network can access UPnP services without issues. Now I have an additional network 192.168.5.0/24, which does not detect the presence of the UPnP server due to broadcast domain of the SSDP. My client tries to discover devices at 239.255.255.250:1900 but on a different network, which will of course fail.

Now Router OS on my RB3011 has a UPnP Feature, but from reading about that it looks very much like a way to reach the internet, which I do not want. I've toyed around with enabling UPnP and configuring two internal interfaces of the bridge of x.x.4.0 and x.x.5.0 but it did not work and I am not even sure if this is going to fix the issue.

Does Router OS have features making that work even if UPnP was somewhat not designed for that behaviour?
