RB750GR3 default filter rules query!!!

Fri Aug 25, 2017 4:38 am

Goodnight.
I wanted to make a query about the default configuration of the RB750GR3.
I have it updated with the latest version of ROS 6.40.2.
My query is about the filter rules, so far, I have always used connections with established / related state ... Today I see in the default configuration comes the rule with established / related / untracked state ...
This is good??? I never saw it like this ... Someone could tell me or explain why it is configured like this ??? It has to do with fasttrack ???

Greetings thank you

Yes, it's a new optimization to default firewall filter rules. Yes, it has to do with fasttrack.

Should the default firewall filters on 6.40.1 that accepted established, related connections be changed to match the new default filter rules, i.e. accept established, related, untracked connections?
Or is the optimization specific to 6.40.2?

It was introduced on 6.40.2, but can be used on any fasttrack enabled ROS version.
