RB2011UiAS-2HnD running at high temperature

Fri Nov 24, 2017 10:25 am

 Hi,
I noticed my RB2011UiAS-2HnD router is running at high temperature (80 degrees Celsius -> 176 Fahrenheit) while CPU load is low (6% or lower)
Is this normal? As far as I remember my router was never so hot but to tell the truth I never really put too much attention to it in the past. I get the impression it wasn't so hot in the past though...
Is there anything in particular I should check?
Thanks :D

Note normis's reply in the above post

Is it really hot to the touch or are you basing this on the system-health-temperature? One time my 2011 got super hot, about 80+ degrees C, practically burned my hand when I touched it, and I turned it off, let it cool down. I may have updated the FW, I don't remember, but I put it back online and it's been working for almost 2 years since. If it never cools back down, it's probably what normis wrote
