VPN tunnel with Mikrotik behind Provider Router

Tue Dec 26, 2017 3:48 pm

My best wishes to all of you and a happy new year !

I need your help :(

Lets say that i have 2 houses. On both houses i have a provider router (for example OTE) and static IP's on both .
The first router has public (static) IP : 10.10.10.10 and LAN 192.168.100.1/24.
The second router (on the second house) has a public (static) IP : 11.11.11.11 and LAN 192.168.99.1/24.
Now i have a mikrotik router under the provider's router.
So on my first house , the MK1 has WAN IP : 192.168.100.1 and LAN 192.168.88.1 .
On second house , the MK2 has WAN IP : 192.168.99.1 and LAN 192.168.90.1.

It is possible to setup a VPN Tunnel between house 1 and house 2?
If the answer is yes what is the right configuration?
I don't care about the type of VPN.

Thanks in advance !

public (static) IP : 10.10.10.10
public (static) IP : 11.11.11.11
is it public IP address ?

If you have ISP (Internet service provider) routers and you can't replece them with mikrotik, I would suggest to look if there is option to add some routes on ISP routers.
Why add routes ? in your config there will be double NAT, i do not recommend doing this.

If there is no other way, try forward some ports on ISP routers to mikrotik, and then make VPN tunels betwen two mikrotiks :

This is just an example my friend. If i check on whytismyip.com i have a result 85.xx.xx.xx
Just for example i say 10.10.10.10 & 11.11.11.11 .

I cannot understand which ip\'s i need to use..

Lets say that on my first ISP router i have a public ip 10.10.10.10 and LAN 192.168.100.1.
I have a mikrotik under this router and for WAN i have 192.168.100.2 and LAN 192.168.99.1

On the second ISP router i have a public ip 11.11.11.11 and LAN 192.168.99.1
I have also a mikrotik under this router and for WAN i have 192.168.99.2 and LAN 192.168.88.1

So now on the fisrt set ,i need to port forward the port 500 (l2tp) to the 192.168.100.2 ?
Also to the second set , i need to port forward the port 500 (l2tp) to the 192.168.99.2 ?

After doing this i have to setup the vpn between 192.168.100.2 and 192.168.99.2 or between 10.10.10.10 and 11.11.11.11.
This is the part that confusing me.

Thank you for your reply !

10.10.10.10 and 11.11.11.11

And of course add routes between internal mikrotik LAN subnets
