I’m new to MikroTik. I just bought MikroTik hAP ac2. I really love all the features it offers, it's amazing but I can’t find out what’s the problem with my WiFi. I replaced my 8 year old tplink N standard router (DDWRT) but download speed is even worse with both N and AC. Upload is great though.
I updated my router to 6.41.3 (including fw). That didn’t help. I tried to change a lot of different WiFi adapter settings, nothing helps.
Here is my speedtest results with AC:
Sometimes I get up to 40Mbps download but that’s max. Upload every time is at least 100Mbps. I tried to test my speed with a few different devices. Same thing.
Wired I’m getting 500/500Mbps or more.
Currently my Wireless config is:
[admin@MikroTik] > /interface wireless export hide-sensitive # mar/14/2018 19:24:04 by RouterOS 6.41.3 # # model = RouterBOARD D52G-5HacD2HnD-TC /interface wireless set [ find default-name=wlan1 ] band=2ghz-b/g/n channel-width=20/40mhz-Ce \ disabled=no distance=indoors frequency=auto mode=ap-bridge rx-chains=0,1 \ ssid=MikroTik-51 tx-chains=0,1 wireless-protocol=802.11 set [ find default-name=wlan2 ] band=5ghz-onlyac basic-rates-a/g=48Mbps,54Mbps \ channel-width=20/40/80mhz-Ceee disabled=no distance=indoors frequency=auto \ mode=ap-bridge rx-chains=0,1 ssid=MikroTik-52 supported-rates-a/g=\ 48Mbps,54Mbps tx-chains=0,1 wireless-protocol=802.11 /interface wireless security-profiles set [ find default=yes ] authentication-types=wpa2-psk mode=dynamic-keys \ supplicant-identity=MikroTik
Other than WiFi I really love this device…Honestly, I'm surprised with SMB performance. I didn't expect it to be any good but so far it rocks!
