RouterOS Downgrade

Tue Jun 05, 2018 3:04 pm

Hello,

I have a question, currently we have a microtik:
Architecture name: mipbse
Board name: RB2011UAS
Version: 6.33.1(stable)

And we want to change the router for a new one, current we bought a new one model:
Architecture name: tile
Board name: CCR1009-7G-1C
Version: 6.38.5

I would like to do a RouterOS downgrade, 6.38.5 to 6.33.1
but with tile arhitecture.

When I put the routeros-tile-6.33.1.npk in file list and then inSystem > package
push to "Downgrade" after this the router restart, but the router doesn't change version ... :(

I tried also with the file all packages...put in folder "Files List" folder ..

But nothing...

What is the problem....???

Thanks for your help

Hello

You are following the correct procedure; Just check if the file was not subfoldered. Example: /hotspot

What does the newer version do not answer?

make sure also that 6.33.1 is supported for CCR1009-7G-1C. You can check it in System -> Resources and check for "Factory Software" You can not go lower than this version.

That's probably the issue. 6.33.1 is November 2015 - probably this model is too new to be supported by that software.

You can't downgrade to version lower than factory installed version.
