Lede back to RouterOS

Sun Jul 15, 2018 10:24 pm

I have a RB951G-2HnD V.3, I flashed LEDE on it and I want to revert it back to RouterOS. Unfortunately NEtinstall cant detect my routerboard since its boot protocol is set on DHCP. After searching on the forum, there is a lede package called rbcfg that can set boot protocol to Bootp and boot device to Ethnand but it prompts an error after issuing a command
rbcfg set boot_device ethnand.... unable to find configuration
rbcfg set boot_protocol bootp .....unable to find configuration

After digging a little bit, lede rbcfg package description, says that its a tool to manipulate routerBoot configuration on the RB4xx device.
And I am stuck here. Need help. Thanks.

Nothing special should be done in this case. RouterBOARD devices have a backup bootloader that can be activated if you press (and hold) the reset button BEFORE applying power to the device.

So ...

1. Make sure your computer doesn't restrict use of network applications (firewall/antivirus/permissions)
2. plug the ethernet directly from first Ethernet port to the computer
3. Make sure the Netinstall is open, and the router is off
4. Hold the reset button, then plug in the power adapter, hold the button for 15 seconds or until the device appears in netinstall
