Poor Performance on ether2 CRS328

Sun Oct 14, 2018 11:13 pm

I've got something that I can't explain going on. I've got a CRS328 that I just purchased running RouterOS 6.43.2, and I have it configured to run 3 vlans: the native VLAN1 at 192.168.1.0/24, the IoT VLAN5 at 192.168.5.0/24, and the guest VLAN10 at 192.168.10.0/24. This is all working, and I have assigned interfaces and IPs for those interfaces. The default interface for the switch is at 192.168.1.2 (bridge mode not router mode, set via quickset), and the interface for each VLAN is 192.168.5.2 and 192.168.10.2.

I had my primary computer plugged into port 2 (ether2) on the switch, and if I'm plugged into that port I get in the neighborhood of 4 Mbps download speed (from WAN). Every other computer on the network including wireless gets approximately 180 Mbps from the WAN. It seems obvious to me that this means that there is something specific about either my computer or the switch port specifically, so the next bit of troubleshooting was to swap the port that I'm plugged into. If I plug into port 1 (ether1) on the switch, I get the full 180 Mbps download speed from WAN. I keep referencing the WAN because that was an easier test than transferring a file for me, but I don't think it has anything to do with the WAN (but just rather transfers over that port), that's just where I noticed it originally.

Any ideas on what to look at, what could be causing it, what to do to try and figure out the problem? I did notice that my IP address of 192.168.1.2 is defined on ether2, so perhaps that has something to do with it? I can post my /export if people would like. Any help would be much appreciated.
