station bridge + multiple wlans

Thu Dec 27, 2018 6:03 pm

Hello,

I am trying to make a connection over station-bridge mode and make multiple wlans with multiple mikrotik access points. So this is my setus hap.
I have a hEX lite router on one end that is connected to the ISP router. This is my starting point. The router (192.168.88.1) is connected to SXTsq Lite5 (192.168.88.10) that is in bridge mode and connected to the other SXTsq Lite5 (192.168.88.11) which is in station bridge mode. That SXTsq Lite5 is currently connected to hAP lite (192.168.88.2) and in this setting im getting Internet on that hAP and I can connect to its wireless network and everything works fine. What I'm now trying to do is connect the SXTsq Lite5 (192.168.88.11) to an unmanaged switch and have 2 hAP lite.

I wan't to make those two hAPs to have a different IP address than the hEX router (e.g. one would be 192.168.89.1 and the other 192.168.90.1) and have their own DHCP servers and pools. Is that possible with an unmanaged switch or do I need something in between. Since I will be using one hAP for home purposses and one for business I don't want them to be on the same network. At the moment the DHCP is on the hEX router.

Thanks to everyone in advance.

You can use VLANs even if the sitch is not manageable. Or use hAP as a router, on one port it receives the IP of its current range 192.168.90.X and delivers another range

Thanks for the advice. After some messing with the configuration made it with VLANs.
