Routing CCR 1036 and CRS 317

Fri Mar 08, 2019 5:49 pm

Hi all... New to Mikrotik

I have a CCR-1036 setup and connected to a CRS 317

The CCR-1036 is grabbing a DHCP from my local office network and can ping out to the net.

I can access via Winbox the CCR-1036 and I've been able to see the CRS 317 and connect to it via Mac Telnet

A bit stuck now. I cannot get from the CRS 317 out to the internet.

The CRS-1036 has been assigned 172.16.x.x

The CRS 317 I believe is now 172.16.20.1

What should I do next?

Hello,

For starters, your devices should have a static IP address, not get one from a server. Otherwise, how do you plan on doing proper management with dynamic IP addresses?

Secondly, I suggest you post a diagram you what you wish to acheive and your devices current configuration. You're asking for help but we have no point of reference to help you out.

Cheers,

I would guess his firewall is empty - even without NAT rules. The CCRs come without firewall rules.
