unifi cloud key

Wed Jul 03, 2019 11:48 pm

Hello,

I´ve got a RB4011 and an unifi cloud key. But the POE seems not to power de unifi cloud key. Is it compatible?

Thanks

Not with the Mikrotik supplied 24V PSU as there are several differing incompatible PoE standards.

However, it should work if you replace this with a 48V PSU as the RB4011 specification states "DC jack input Voltage 12-57 V ", and the Cloud Key specification states "48V 802.3af or Passive PoE ( Pairs 4, 5+; 7, 8- )"

Code: Select all

What type of Unifi equipment are you using for the network associated with the cloud key?

Hello,

I did´n t see your reply. Thanks a lot. I will try with a psu with more power...

Do you know if I can use this psu with the hex Poe device?

I'm not sure the Cloud Key would like 57V passive - the MT48-480095-11DG (45W) would be a better choice, or if you are powering several additional devices from the hEX PoE too the 48POW (70W) may be required depending on their power requirements. Any third-party PSU with a centre-positive 2.1mm barrel plug can also be used.

Just stumbled on this. Had similar issue trying to power the OC200 controller for TP-Link. Now I know why it didn't work.

I have a 54V 2A PSU that I will test with my RB4011 and see if I'm able to power the OC200 from Ether10.

The UniFi Cloud Key takes a standard 48V PoE input (not passive) so, as long as your MikroTik can provide that, it should work.
