RB750 Bricked after updating to 6.45.2

Sat Aug 03, 2019 2:50 am

Hello everyone.
So I've got a simple problem, don't know how to fix it.
After trying to update RouterOS to version 6.45.2 from 5.25, my RB750 got bricked. When i say bricked, i mean when i boot it, it will eventually boot to all LED lights to stay lit without futher progress.

I've tried to repair this using Netinstall but without gain. Here are the steps I've tried

- Configure IP of 192.168.88.2/24 on laptop, eno1 interface
- Turn off RB
- Open netinstall (sudo netinstall) , enable boot server and set IP: 192.168.88.1
- Connect the ethernet cable between laptop and RB port ether1
- Press and hold RESET button and then plugging in the power supply
- Keep holding reset button until ACT LED goes off
- The router will try to boot via network without gain.. It will not be visible in Netinstall

How do i know it tried to boot via network?
I opened up Wireshark and listened to the packets, there are a lot of BOOT Requests originating from RB MAC Address.
Also, at the same time that packet appears in Wireshark, i see this output in console from which Netinstall is started:

I tried netinst on multiple two PCs, that is on Laptop (Fedora and Manjaro) and on PC (Windows 10), always the same outcome.
It will try to boot from network, and when it fails, it will lit up all LED lights and they will stay on. At that point, computers will see LAN cable as disconnected.

Strange thing that I've never seen before. If i reboot the RB without holding RESET button, it will also try to initiate boot from network, that is it will send BOOTP packets over the network, looking for TFTP host.

Has anyone seen this behavior ?
Is there any chance that i can remedy this?
