Basic IPv6 on LTE interface

Mon Sep 30, 2019 8:16 am

Hello all,

I'm looking simply get an IPv6 address on LTE interface. I do know that the provider does provide IPv6 address through DHCP and I must be able to assign that the the LTE interface or better passthrough. I try to configure but get the following message:

I am using this https://mikrotik.com/product/ltap_mini_lte_kit_us
Please let me know how I can get the IPv6 address on the LTE interface.

Thanks,
Jason

Hello,

i have a wAP ac LTE6 with the R11e-LTE6 Modem inside and got the same problem. I did lte passthrough to my main router (rb3011) over a vlan, so i still have management access to my wAP and can even use the capsman on my rb3011 to manage the wireless stuff. On the rb3011 i also got my main internet connection (dsl over pppoe) running with ipv4 and ipv6. Now i wanted to use the lte of the wAP as a second internet connection for e.g. load balancing and/or failover. Everything works good in case of ipv4, but i can't get ipv6 running.

Is there any solution or workaround to use ipv4 AND ipv6 with lte passthrough? That would be great!

Thanks for your answers!

+1.

I just tested LTE with ipv6 and it works on my laptop (win10+lte modem).

If I try the same on mikrotik, where I do passthrough from SXT LTE 6 kit to RB4011, it does not work :(.

Makes me sad since wiki says both ipv4/ipv6 are supported. "The LTE Passthrough modem can pass both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses if that is supported by modem." source: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:I ... gh_Example

Thank you!

Tested on stable version 6.48.4 and Dev version 7.1rc4.

They not write that can be possible in the same time.. I think this should be reported directly to MikroTik at support@mikrotik.com or http://help.mikrotik.com

I did report it already in April... SUP-45199

It's in "Pending" state since then.

When I have cases with status "WAITING FOR SUPPORT" then sometimes (1 a week) I type "Any news" and this helps :D.
