hello there im new to network. i need some help regarding static ip. my isp is providing pppoe username and password for internet acces which ihave dialup in my mikrotik now they have provided me some static ips to use for dvr or nvr and my personal plex server pppoe-out 1 is there in my mikrotik for internet access how i can give static ips to one of my interfaces so i can assing live ip to my plex server connected to that interface
You don't even need that...
Mikrotik have built-in "dyn dns" type of thing, you whatever your current PPPoE public IP is this is updated at
(go to "IP" -> "Cloud" and enable)
You will get a unique entry like serialnumber-of-your-mikrotik.sn.mynetname.net
Then make a very classic DNAT config for Plex port 32400 and map it towards your Plex server on your network.
Then from anywhere in the world, point your Plex app to server 711f022bdb11.sn.mynetname.net on port 32400 and you can watch content....
You can re-use the same approach for NVR access (different) DNAT entry.
