Sat Nov 30, 2019 9:32 am

Hi, i`m new to RouterOS and it seams that it blocked access to a website that i`m trying to connect, i do not see anything in logs but traceroute stops within the router

Yes, it`s the default firewall. If the firewall isn`t the issue than what`s wrong?

First, update your ROS version...
Also, no need to have winbox port open to public. Use VPN....
Other than that, i dont see any reason why your router would block any sites...
If you connect a pc directly to your ISP, can you access those sites ?

Indeed!
Steps to perform:
- update RouterOS to latest stable version
- reset settings to default
- re-add the particular features you require

I'll make an update and reset the router. This is a secodary router. It isn't connected to the ISP. If i want to reach the site from in front of mikrotik everything is ok. Traceroute shows that packet never leave mikrotik router

We will see what happens after you update. If possible use netinstall to install the newest versions, so it is certain there are not any trojans left.

i kinda solved the problem... partially my fault. When i tried to verify from in front of mikrotik router i tryed directly from pfsense firewall that is connected directly to isp. I pinged the ip of the website (from lan interface and from wan interface) and worked. The mikrotik router fooled me thinking that the problem is from him because when traceroute from behind the mikrotik the packets never traveled to the next hop (pfsense). The problem was that PFSense has a blacklist on firewall with hijacked websites and seems that the site i was trying to reach got on that list.

Thank You guys!

P.S.: How can i mark the topic as SOLVED?

It is still advisable to update you MikroTik but as it was found (likely) not to be infected you can do it from the device itself (system->packages->check for updates).
It is also still advisable to do a reset to defaults after that, and add what you need (you can take your save .rsc file as a guide for that)

And, keep your RouterOS recent, update it at least every couple of months.

It's great to see another with pfSense and Mikrotik combo network. Usually, a firewall never suddenly blocks websites though.
