Station mode:- scan for more than one SSID?

Fri Dec 27, 2019 1:19 am

I've got a hAP-ac2 in a campervan. It has a small Plex server connected to ether 2. On 5GHz it gives me a wireless network in AP Bridge mode so that the kids tablets can connect to the Plex server.

When the van is at home I'd like it to connect as a station to my home WiFI (also MikroTik) on SSID1 on 2.4GHz.

If the van is not at home, and therefore not connected to SSID1, I'd like it to scan for SSID2 or SSID3 and connect to it. SSID2 and 3 are portable wifi hotspot from my phone or a dedicated 4g hotspot device. Or SSID4 which may be a campsite wifi.

Is there a way to set up the profiles for SSID2 and SSID3 in advance and have it scan for them? Does it need a scheduled script on Netwatch Down?

Once connected that means I can access the van server from my home network, or van Plex can access the internet if it needs to, and I can also configure ovpn connection back to home as necessary.

Cheers.
