I need to enter AT commands via serial port and ROS

Tue Mar 17, 2020 11:33 pm

Hi guys. I'm in need to enter AT commands via the ROS. I can not order a USB adapter due to the shut down here. It's not considered essential. I know it might be the best way, but that won't happen for a few weeks according to the announcement.

Can somebody walk me through the steps to enter AT commands via the serial port?

If you have some MikroTik modem's or other who discover as lte1 device then:
https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Interface/LTE
If you see them as port, usb1 device then:
https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Port and "See More" articles.

You read a documentation at all ?
You not give any details about target device, how it's connected, how it's detected by ROS....

You need to give us a little more information.
First of all, which router? Yes, the hardware makes a difference as different hardware has different capabilities.
What version of ROS? Again, different versions have different capabilities.
What are trying to accomplish? The only thing I can think of is to cause a modem to do something (like dial a call).
Under what conditions do you want this action to take place? For example, automatically when some condition happens, when you connect and tell RoS to do so, something else.

Thanks to you to, but the modem is now in LTE mode. Now on to next problem.
