Mon Aug 24, 2020 8:27 pm

Hello , .. So uhhm i upgraded my account to 300mbps but then my hap ac lite wont reach my designated data given by my isp.
when i test my speed directly at my isp router it gives me 300M but then when i connect to my mikrotik , it only gives me 70-80M..
im wondering where did it go wrong... i also removed all my queues limits

hAp ac Lite has 100Mbps ethernet interfaces. (Mostly the case with "Lite" versions)

Even if device had 1Gbps interfaces, it is not powerful enough to route faster than something around 170Mbps (and that's with fairly simple firewall setup which enables fasttracking most of traffic).

Where did it go wrong??????? How long of a list did you want.
And by that I mean what went wrong with you not the router LOL.

In the TOC for the MTUNA certifcation, one can find the word bolded........... Requirements.
You get the requirements wrong and things turn into a shit show super fast and the only way to fix things is $$$$.

Basic research helps too.
Here is the spec sheet for the hap lite.....
https://mikrotik.com/product/RB941-2nD# ... ifications

Under ethernet it plainly states 10/100 ports 4 of them.
Under tests it shows that one could expect wan throughput performance one way of approx 380Mbps.

On the main page for the unit under wireless heading it only denotes 2.4ghz speed 300.
Using the 1/3 rule, one should expect performance give er take around the 100 speed.
Remember wifi speed are marketed as total two way throughput without any real world losses. So right off the bat, one way speed test is already a5 150, and losses such as walls, electrical interference other wifi appliances et............

Real world expectations.
The HAPAC2 5ghz wifi is 867 two way, divided by two is 433 speed and subtract prop losses, quick est 867/3 = 289 speed giver take............
The HAPAC wifi is 1300 two way, divided by two is 650 and subtract prop losses, quick est 1300/3 = 433 speed giver take............
The RB400 with wifi is 1733 two way, divided by two is 866 and subtract prop losses, quick est 1733/3 = 578 speeds giver take.....
The haplite with wifi at 300 two way, divided by two is 150 and sutract prop losses, quick est 300/3 = 100 giver take

"hAP ac Lite" versus "hAP Lite".
I think that for "hAP ac Lite" the ethernet speed is the limiting factor. Wanted to use it as replacement for the "black only" hAp ac2 (ugly on a white wall) , it even has PoE out, but the 100Mbps is too limiting for the future. And bounding 5 cables for uplink would be too much.
