Dell Poweredge 1550?
We recently bought some Poweredge 1550 1u rackmountable servers, but come to find out we cannot get the SFF IDE to CF adapter we bought to work correctly with them, unhooked the SFF IDE cdrom drive and hooked it up to the CF adapter and it doesn't detect it at all, although it does show a green led for the CF adapter being powered up but never see it blink red and tried changing the jumpers on the CF adapter one by one, looked in BIOS for anything strange that could of been disabled and also tried another 1550 we had with no luck, I have determined that it will boot from the cdrom though but there is no other SFF IDE slot except for the cdrom, other than that the only things we have to boot from are SCSI drives, floppy drive, PXE boot, and USB boot isnt an option in the BIOS but I haven't tested it even though I don't see it, is it possible to use one of these to boot mikrotik or are we just SOL.. also we've tried other SFF IDE to CF adapters and also other CF cards.
