I'm pulling my hair out over this. I've been using OpenVPN for years, and I've always been able to connect to it whether or not the client in the same network as the server. However, suddenly I can't do so unless I change the top of my client config to 'float' instead of 'client'. Problem is, this screws up the 10.8.0.1 route from my client computer - I can't ping it or access it in any way. Is this due to switching to Microtik? I was on a Ubiquiti ERL before. Is there something in the default Microtik config that would cause this problem??

How is Mikrotik related here?
