How do I configure a second AP (cAP AC) to my current home network?

Fri Apr 02, 2021 10:21 am

Currently have a hAP AC2 acting as CAPsMAN, connected to one cAP AC access point.

I'd like to add a second AP as a slave to the first cAP AC. Would I just plug in the second AP into eth2 on the first AP?

Is there any configuration needed once plugged in? Would the second AP need to be on different 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz channel? Thank you!

I think the cAP ac has PoE passthrough, so you can connect it to the second ethernet port.
Dive into CAPsMAN for the configuration, to prefent interference, always use non overlapping channels.

Thank you! Would I need to enable CAP for the new cAP AC and setup configuration container and provisioner?

That's correct.
