Airplay two network

Tue Apr 06, 2021 10:19 pm

I have 1 router. Two bridges 192.168.30.0/24 and 192.168.39.0/24.
in the 30's there are laptops, phones, printer.
in 39 there would be home automation with Airplay clients (speakers)
Now I want to play the speakers from the phone but can't see the ones on the other network.
What does it take to make a rule to go?
Thanks

The problem is, that AirPlay works inside one broadcast domain. You need a "relay" of mDNS traffic from one broadcast domain into another.

You need a mDNS proxy, like Avahi-daemon or similar between the networks/VLANs. This is to forward/relay the mDNS announcements.
