How can I choose wan output?

Thu Apr 15, 2021 4:54 am

Hello everyone, this is my first post.

I am writing this because I am having trouble configuring my microtik equipment, the problem is as follows: I have two WANs in my house one with 4G and the other with WISP.
Currently the 4G is my main line and the WISP is my backup.
Since the WISP is only on hot standby, I would like to redirect some of the traffic to this one to take more advantage of it.
The goal is to be able to manually choose which devices go out on which ISP.

I honestly don't know where to start I've read some stuff about packet marking in mangle but I'm getting a bit confused with it.

My configuration is as follows:
My WISP has PPPoE network output and the 4G has its APN configuration.
I think the picture explains it well, if you need more information don't hesitate to ask me and I'll be happy to give it to you.

Thanks for the help and thanks for reading.

There are tons of tutorials there.
One of the best viewtopic.php?f=23&t=157048
and this on the wiki page https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/ROS/Failover

Please start to use them and play around and then report back.
Once you understand what is going on, it will be easy for you to assign in the mangle rules devices or IP ranges or bridges or VLAN to specific ISPs.
