Port Forward over L2TP IPsec

Fri Apr 30, 2021 10:29 pm

Hi,

I have a problem port forwarding over L2TP/IPsec connection. My network is like this:

Main router directly connected to Plex server --> Connection to VPS/CHR over L2TP/IPsec (dst-nat setting on CHR to Plex server on main router)

I have 2 dst-nat config on the CHR which are forwarded to port 80/http and also port 32400/plex. The dst-nat for port 80 is working without problem, while the port 32400 is not working. I got full routing for client/server subnet so client and server does not need to do masquerade.

Please assist me thank you.

I have solved it on my own. You will need a src-nat for the server that you want to be port forwarded to. Make sure to put server ip as src-address to the masquerade rule. There you go.
