Too many address in /ip dns static

Tue May 11, 2021 5:11 pm

H!
I exported the configuration of a routeboard in an rsc file, and i verified there are many mappings created in /ip dns static option:

add address=185.205.209.114 name=asia1.ethermine.org
add address=185.205.209.114 name=asia1.ethpool.org
add address=185.205.209.114 name=asia1.fullhashed.com
add address=185.205.209.114 name=asia2.ethermine.org
add address=185.205.209.114 name=cn.sparkpool.com
add address=185.205.209.114 name=aurorapool.net
add address=185.205.209.114 name=daggerhashimoto.br.nicehash.com
add address=185.205.209.114 name=daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com
add address=185.205.209.114 name=daggerhashimoto.hk.nicehash.com
add address=185.205.209.114 name=daggerhashimoto.in.nicehash.com
add address=185.205.209.114 name=daggerhashimoto.jp.nicehash.com
add address=185.205.209.114 name=daggerhashimoto.usa.nicehash.com
add address=185.205.209.114 name=coinotron.com
add address=185.205.209.114 name=eth.1stpool.com
.....

Above is only a part of the addresses, always pointing to the same ip.
These records were included automatically, can I delete this? Is there any impact of this on RB's performance?

Default configuration has none static DNS entries. So you'll have to find out how these landed on your mikrotik to decide whether it's OK to delete them or not.

I would go one step further, and presume that the router was compromised and do a net install process.
@mkx please email me. PS answered your question in the other thread!

I did a factory reset and reconfigured the router

You should do a netinstall. A simple reset may not remove all compromising components.
