Route the traffic through a remote Server

Thu Jun 24, 2021 5:30 pm

Hello there,

I've got a question about routing the traffic of the devices that are connected to a MicroTik Router.

The question is, if it's possible to establish a SSH connection on MicroTik router to a VPS (any linux server), and route all the traffic that connected devices are using through that VPS and actually using that VPS IP?

I mean use it kind of like VPN. for the connected devices to have the VPS Public IP.

So you have a VPS and you have a "MicroTik" router. What you specifically asking is VPN... :D

Something like this, except you will be using Strongswan for IPSEC/IKE2 VPN protocol:
If you have "MicroTik" router running "RooterOS" 7, you should instead go with Wireguard as it is MUCH simpler to set it up.
