Connecting RB2011 and cAP together

Tue Jul 06, 2021 2:08 pm

Hi,

first of all, here https://pastebin.com/6bqcL4Xt is the export of both RB2011 and cAP. My main issue is that while previously using CAPSMAN to manage cAP Wi-Fi networks, I have experienced multiple link downs, the devices connected to cAP were often reconnecting without any apparent reasons, so I've decided to use cAP 5GHz wifi separatedly. However, I'm not satisfied with my current solution. I want to manage everything from the RB2011 and use cAP only for it's 5GHz wifi. I've bridged all ports in cAP, deleted everything in firewall, turned off DHCP. I've assigned to bridge interface IP 172.20.10.2 (RB2011 is 172.20.10.1), however with this solution everything is working correctly, expect I can only access cAP from it's MAC address and I can not use VLANS on cAP - since DHCP and everything else is managed from RB2011. I can use VLANs with RB2011 2.4GHz wifi, but I need to set up VLANs for cAP 5GHz, too.

I know that right now it's not set up correctly, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
