I suppose more future-proofing is a good idea. It's not like my current pfSense box is not way overpowered (part of its issue is power use). Well, I do still have an unused EdgeRouter X SFP that can be used as a managed switch still.Yeah the hex S is a great holdover until a new unit can be had!!
Later it makes either a great backup router unit or a managed switch on a desk.......
