Question about tx-sector (command not recognized)

Wed Aug 25, 2021 12:22 am

Hi,

I just bought the Mikrotik 60GHz Wireless Wire and would like to play around with the tx-sector command. Basically I want to write a script to communicate with the routerboard in a language such as Python (or any other compatible language such as C, C++, whatever) that can read the current tx-sector value and also tell the router where to point the beam.

To get started, I installed Winbox so that I can send commands to the router. I plugged in the "Master" router to my computer and, with the default configuration, started sending commands. I can connect via the MAC address of the router and I can do basic things such as blinking the LED. However, when I go to interface w60g ? I cannot see tx-sector as a valid command (I have align, comment, disable, edit, etc but not tx-sector). Do I need to remove the default configuration to do this? Also, do I have to have both the Master and the Slave router plugged in to use tx-sector? I have only plugged in the Master router for now.
