MIKROTIK RouterBOARD hAP ac Lite Tower

Fri Sep 10, 2021 2:06 pm

Hi all

I am installing the MikroTik RBSXTR&R11e-LTE (SXT LTE kit) Outdoor 4G LTE router along with the MIKROTIK RouterBOARD hAP ac Lite Tower as an internal access point. Are there any settings I need to change in order to ensure a stable connection? At the moment its drops out and disconnects before rebooting.

Thanks

Johnny

The SXT or the HAP ?
Any more details ?
What are the RSRP, RSRQ and RSSI values of your LTE connection ?

The HAP keeps kicking me off when using winbox, logs out then i need to log back in. Not sure if I need to configure the HAP as an access point as well? Any advice on this setup would be greatly appreciated as it's the first time I have tried it. Apologies for being so vauge.

Thanks

There is no standard configuration...
You could use the LTE as Router and the HAP as AP... Or the LTE with passthrough configured and the HAP as Router and AP, that is a little more advanced as you will need a management VLAN setup too so that you can access the LTE as well, the ethernet interface will be used for passthrough purposes...

So the easiest option for you, would be the LTE as Router and the HAP as AP...
