Requests to router's public IP get redirected to localhost

Wed Feb 15, 2023 1:30 am

I realized that the traffic to router's public IP never leaves local network. When I query my duckdns domain or public IP directly I get router's login page. This causes issues with some of my self-hosted services. Is there a way to avoid it?

hairpin NAT is probably what you are looking for... but the better way is "split dns"

Thank you, adding static DNS entry and clearing DNS caches solved the problem.
