This may sound stupid but, we recently implemented RIP on all of our Mikrotik AP's and backhauls. We were using all static routing before. Now it seems like our network struggles. Maybe coincedence but, after RIP was installed, we had a backhaul get fried and many other physical problems. Does anyone think that RIP can affect physical problems on a Mikrotik network. Like I said it may sound stupid but our network seemed very stable before RIP was implemented.

RIP overhead is rather high. Why not try OSPF.
