no. what kind of router is this, that is offline most of the time?

also - i think that is the feature of BIOS (motherboard), not RouterOS.

Well I am disagree because I have installed RouterOS over PC.

For example, sometime the power electric is off for long time and the battery backup is discharged for the same reason "long time without power electric". If the Wake On Lan option is will add to RouterOS I could turn on the PC from my MKT 511 when the power electric come back.

Best regard.

Althrough I support your request as usable, I would suggest to use PC motherboard that has BIOS option to turn on automaticaly on power. If BIOS does not have such option, you may also make some simple hardware to make it turn on when power comes (simulate power on button pressed), but that hardware depends on motherboard.

What you're describing is not Wake on Lan option. With WOL enabled PC can be turned on by sending a special packet to its ethernet port. What you're talking about is BIOS setting which tells PC what to do when power "returns".

In both cases RouterOS has got nothing to do with it.

Yeah, I'm agree with you but in this case the motherboard don't have the "automaticaly on power", so I think that will add the WOL into RouterOS could be a plus, cuz the mostly motherboard have the option WOL into BIOS.

Best regard :D

ok, I going to try to explain me much better, I know that the mostly motherboard have the WOL option and this can turn on the PC by sending special packet OK and some motherboard have the option that turn on automatically when the power return.

My point is that my PC only have the WOL option "enable" and in the same network I have MKT 511. When the power return the 511 automatically turn on but the PC not. So with the WOL option into RouterOS could setting some rule to checking if the PC is online and if not then send the magic packet WOL to turn on.

This is my opinion :D Maybe I'm wrong but at least for me this will help me, specially in rural sites. :D

You could setup an EoIP tunnel and then use a remote PC or Linux to send a WOL Magic packet.
