Mon Dec 08, 2008 2:17 pm

Hi;
I have V3.17 pc NOW

I Get Internet service(ADSL) through Mudiom "Speedtouch",.Sometimes problems occur in Modiom.
Can I give up Mudiom "Speedtouch",.and the wire telephone line is linking the server mikrotik directly.

The question is:

How do I prepare to become MikroTik Server Mudiom such as "Speedtouch" ??!!

not possible, except with a pci or usb-adsl-modem. direct connection of the phoneline to the rj45-port is not possible, it is not ethernet that comes out there.

ADSL PCI modem is not supported, you can do it only with an external modem.

there is a pci-card from the UK that should work, it simply installs as a network-interface, but i do not find the thread for it.
but it won't be cheap, so better use a usb one
