Issues with EoIP and ping

Fri Jan 02, 2009 10:05 am

Hi,

All my network is in one big bridge. I'm going to develop routing but till now I do not have "time" for it.

Let's assume that my network is like that:

A - B - C - D

A is main router, B is a main transmitter, C is base connected to B and D is connected to C.
On every machine there is a bridge in which 2 (or more) eoips are incliuded "incomming" and "outgoing" (in B there is epip from A and C) and the IP is assigned to bridge.

I'm able to:
A pings B, D
B pings A, C, D
C pings A, B, D
D pings A, B, C

My question is why A cannot ping C, when C can ping A and A can ping D which is "after" C.
This worked till week ago. Nothing was changed. I tried to set up new eoip betweend A and B and B and C - no effetcs.

Any ideas?

MJ
