permit MAC address without any encryption

Thu Feb 19, 2009 2:55 pm

Hi,
I need to setup a wifi AP to permit connection to only a few MAC address and block any other machine. Using WinBox 2.9.40 I've inserted the list in 'Wireless', 'Access List' with Authentication=Yes and Forwarding=Yes. Should I set something else? I suppose so, because infact now it's possible to connect to any MAC address.

Thanx!

Default authentication should be no. Then only the MAC addresses in your ACL will be allowed to connect.

Also, upgrade to at least 2.9.51 or V3

Upload the package for Routerboard500 and reboot. If it doesn't upgrade download the X86 package. One or the other will work.
