Help on Routing

Sun Apr 05, 2009 4:34 pm

Hi to all,

as i am new in routing subjects, I would like your help on the following.
I have an RB433 (with mikrotik of course) with two MiniPci installed (wlan1 & wlan3) the ether1 is on my local network.

ip addresses.
ether1 : 10.x.x.1/29
wlan3 : 192.x.x.1/24 (using DHCP)

I need to give access to the workstations that are connected to the wlan3 (AP) to see my local network (ether1) but also any network going through wlan1.

Thank you in advance.
Costas.

Dear Costas,

Do you have to treat wlan1, wlan3 and eth1 are three different networks? if no, best choise make a bridge.

Or,

Make ether1 has your outgoing interface and do nating (for browsing). this way wlan1 and wlan3 can access the ether1 network.
assuming your ether1 is connected to a router. make a routing entry in the router for the network of wlan1 and wlan3 to the ip address of ether1.
