HELP ON SETTING THE SAME BANDWIDTH FOR LAN PC

Wed Apr 22, 2009 9:52 pm

Hello all,
I am having some problems with my lan computers connected to my mikrotik. I want to limit bandwidth for all my lan computer so that each will use a maximum of 8kbps so that irrespective what the other lan user is doing it will not affect others as they will be browsing at the same rate. My lan is a dhcp of 192.168.0.1/24.

I need step by step configuration using the winbox or thru command-line. The reason for this is that most people that come to the cafe, try to run so many things that will consume the whole bandwidth. I am getting 64Kbps/84kbps from my ISP so i want to utlize the available bandwidth to work effectively.

Thanks your help will be appreciated.

Take a look at the manual under bandwith managemnet..

The best person I know on the subject is Butch Evans.
