DSL PPPoe PCQ solution

Thu Jun 11, 2009 8:05 pm

Running a powerrouter ROS 3.22

4 different classes of clients on DSL running PPPoe

PPPoe rate limits looking like they limit things per username just fine.

I only have a 10 MB pipe and want to run PCQ to balance the load. 200+ customers and growing.

I have 3000/512 mbps, 1500/256 mbps, 768/128mbps and 512/128 mbps speeds.

What config will use PCQ on PPPoe for this setup?

You should have 4 different IP subnets, meaning one subnet per class. Than configure four different PCQ queues for Download speed per class, and 4 PCQ queues for upload per class. If you are using radius, than configure Radius to assign IPs based on class of user.
