I think our routers got hacked into as we always write down our passwords and for some reason it isn't working. We have wrap .2c boards with mikrotik running running on 64mb compact flash drives. Removing the the compact flash and putting it on a card reader and running netinstall got rid of our license. I thought netinstall will not touch our license but 2 of our licensed compact flashes now need activation. We need to rewrite mikrotik on 2 more of these units but we do not want to our licenses erased. Please, has anyone done this? We have level 5 licenses on them and they are still on 2.822

on CF cards, u can get the password by reading the correct file. Just take the flash card out, and mount the filesystem to a device with some kind of reader ( personaly i use uestudio) and read the code in the correct file. (just try some of em, and u fine the correct one).

One of our customer recently got 100 + MT system brute forced. We had some with alix and cf card, and ww where able to get the password set by the "" hackers"" by reading CF cards.
