So I was just talking to a supplier for this card and he was telling me that I would need to get the whole solution certified by the carrier. Does anyone know anything about this with the Routerboards?

Check with Brian over at Baltic Networks..
He has been putting RBs on AT&T with Sierra wireless cards for a while now...

Did you order MC8780 ? if not you can use MC8790 which is latest one but if your area was UMTS Network.
