hotspot shield

Hi everyone I have mikrotik Ver 4.6 Licensed and I use web proxy to control
users access to INTERNET.

some of my users uses hotspot shield to have open link without any limitations to
INTERNET, I need to block hotspot shield?

Please help

I was messing with this and I did a packet capture and figured out a L7 filter that seemed to work for blocking it. IIRC, i blocked some keywords in the certificate that they use.

I was just playing around and dont know what I did.

Hi every one

My problem is that I do not know how to use L7 filter to block
hotspot shield and I know it is possible to do that with L7 filter

So please help

I honestly dont remember what the L7filter I created was. It was just for playing around and It was very generic so I couldnt guarantee it to work in a production environment. IIRC, I did a packet capture of me using hotspotshield. I found that every connection as secured by a certain CA. I just put the CA plaintext information into a L7filter and it worked.

I do not know how to capture a packet of using hotspotshield
From where you get this "CA plaintext information"

I was having ISA server before 2 years and it was stop it, so Mikrotik
Should do also

Pls try to use User-manager to control your hotstop

Tell us more about your network , like the numbers of users on your network . However, you can still use hotspot/user manager , because there are provisions for users to by-pass hotspot under ip binding on hotspot.
