daylight saving time

Wed Mar 16, 2011 9:49 am

Hi,

I've read the manual according time zone and DST.
I see I can set a fixed date for DST changes, like:
[admin@MikroTik] system clock dst> set dst-start="mar/27/2005 03:00:00" dst-end="oct/30/2005 03:00:00"
[admin@MikroTik] system clock dst> print
  dst-delta: +01:00
  dst-start: mar/27/2005 03:00:00
    dst-end: oct/30/2005 03:00:00
[admin@MikroTik] system clock dst>
All find, BUT in EU dst changes the last sunday of march and changes back the last sunday of october.
So the dates aren't really fixed (For example, this year last sunday is 27 march, but next year it's 25 march)
Is there a way to tell this to a MT box?

Many tnx.
B

I use NTP client to maintain my clocks. It changes mine automatically. It even activates DST when I set the time zone. Was that not working for you?

Well, I configured ntp too and set the time zone to the correct one. Time is correct now, but changes to summer time by the end of this month.
I just wasn't sure if it would stay on GMT+1 or go to GMT+2 in summer time.
If you say it works like this, I will see it by the end of this month. tnx

Mine works fine. I am America/Chicago (Central Time) and ours changed last Sunday at 2am. All the routers showed the correct time Sunday morning when I got up. :D

Ok, another thing less to worry about then.
Almost ready for test deploy here ;-)
Just need to figure out the correct firewall rule(s) to poll snmp on port 8161.
I started a thread about it, so if you know how to do it, feel free :-)

Kind regards
B
