internet access

Mon Aug 22, 2011 3:34 pm

Hi all. I have the following problem:

I have a rb411 connected to a dsl router. the dsl router's Ip Address is 10.0.0.2/24, and the rb is 10.0.0.1/24 on the ethernet port, and 192.168.1.1/24 on the wlan1 side. the wlan is in ap mode. Clients can connect to the ap, no problem ,and can ping the dsl router, But no internet access?? I nated the client ip adress, and added a default route: with destination: 0.0.0.0/0, gateway: 10.0.0.2. I added dns addresses to the client side, but still nothing. Is there anything else that I need to enable?

thanks

Maybe. Show your configuration and post the output of "/ip address print detail", "/ip route print detail", "/interface print", "/ip firewall export", and an accurate network diagram. Wrap output in
 tags.

Are you using wds? if yes where is the default bridge? if no, then your clients side has to be routed. expecially if you using mikrotik cpe.

got it working just now...just needed to add a route on the second router.

dsl-----------(eth)mikrotik(wlan)---------------(wlan)mikrotik(eth)------------client.
just needed to add a route to above router, and change the dns on the dsl modem to the isp.
